Empty Bowls!

You may have heard of “Empty Bowls.”  According to their website,

Empty Bowls is a grassroots movement by artists and crafts people in cities and towns around the world to raise money for food-related charities to care for and feed the hungry in their communities.

Empty Bowls supports food-related charitable organizations around the world, and has raised millions of dollars to help end hunger. (https://emptybowls.com/)

In Rome GA, Empty Bowls of Rome has been held every fall for about 20 years.  It is sponsored and supported by local restaurants, schools, businesses as well as a robust arts community.  The evening is an informal gathering that’s fun for all participants and all the proceeds go to one of a select group of local charities.  A canned food drive accompanies the event.

I’m honored, for the second year in a row, to be asked to participate in the Empty Bowls of Rome GA event!  I have donated a total of 20 bowls.  I LOVE this event!

You can find out more about past and this year’s event on Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/EmptyBowlsRome   I encourage you to seek out an Empty Bowl event in your area.
